Information for Visitors to Tal Eryr in North Wales

Tal Eryr is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Lleyn Peninsula in North Wales. We are just off the A499, 9 miles from Pwllheli and 11 miles from Caernarfon.

From Caernarfon

On the A499, pass through the villages of Clynnog-fawr and Gyrn Goch. Just outside Gyrn Goch take the first lane on the right -- follow the sign of the black horse's head on the corner. Carry on along the lane for about ½ mile until you reach a cottage called Bron-y-Werydd on the right. Turn right here down the track (you may have to open the gate). You will find Tal Eryr at the bottom of the track.

From Pwllheli

On the A499, drive until you reach the village of Llanarlhaearn. A little further along the A499 you will pass two turnings to the village of Trefor. Take the first left after the second of these turnings. There is a sign of a black horse's head on the corner by the lane, follow the sign and and drive for about ½ mile until you reach the third turning on the left. Take the left turn next to a cottage called Bron-y-Werydd. You may have to open the gate and make your way down the drive to Tal Eryr.


Access to the Property

All arrangements will be made in writing on confirmation of booking the property.


  • As this is a part-working farm you will appreciate that children should be supervised and discouraged from playing in or around the farm outbuildings.
  • In accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines, the bunk beds should not be used by younger children and no child should play on the bunk beds.
  • The land here stretches down to the shoreline of Caernarfon Bay. Parts of which comprise of unfenced cliff top which can be extremely dangerous, please be vigilant at all times. The land has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest and cannot be fenced, to avoid the erosion of the cliff face.
  • Farm animals (sheep) may be found in the surrounding fields.


Central heating is included in the price and has been set to run at certain times of day.

The hot water runs off the heating system.

Electricity is charged by a £1.00 coin meter
